PURPOSE: Provided is a process for producing SrTiO3 oxide for a varistor by using semiconducting calcination powder, which can improve the working ability and reliability of the varistor and control the threshold voltage of the varistor accurately. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the steps of: wet-mixing raw material powder comprising SrCO3, TiO2, and a dopant and then drying; calcining the mixed powder at 1200-1600deg.C under nitrogen, nitrogen-hydrogen, or vacuum for 10 minutes to 48 hours; grinding the calcined powder and press-molding; sintering the obtained powder article at 1200-1600deg.C under the atmospheric pressure and oxygen, air, nitrogen, nitrogen-hydrogen, or vacuum for 10 minutes to 48 hours.
