PURPOSE: A continuous casting billet of stainless steel is provided to suppress a peeling of a surface scale in a rolling process. CONSTITUTION: Coolant nozzles are installed when a surface temperature of a billet is within 1100-1200deg.C. A ratio between air and coolant is over 1.0-1.2. The coolant is injected over 100-125l/kgmin. Thereby, a continuous casting billet of stainless steel having a uniform scale is produced. A reduction of a temperature is prevented by preventing a peeling of the scale and improving the sticking property of the scale. Moreover, a surface crack is prevented by reducing friction between a roll and a steel plate.
