PURPOSE: An integrated apparatus for treating sewage and wastewater is provided simultaneously remove organic matter and nitrogen of sewage and wastewater and improve activity of microorganisms, and a process for treating sewage and wastewater using the integrated apparatus for treating sewage and wastewater is provided. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises an anoxic tank (denitrification tank)(20) which is equipped with an inflow pipe(21) connected to a lower part of the anoxic tank so that wastewater flows in the anoxic tank in upflow type and an agitation means(22) for agitating wastewater flown in, and in which suspended microorganisms growable in the anoxic state are seeded; an aeration tank (nitrification tank)(30) which covers an outer part of the anoxic tank, to which wastewater treated in the anoxic tank and overflown from the anoxic tank is transferred, in which microorganism attached media is filled, and on a lower part of which a diffuser(32) for aerating and mixing the wastewater is formed; a sedimentation tank(40) which covers an outer part of the aeration tank, to which wastewater treated in the aeration tank and overflown from the aeration tank is transferred to return some of supernatant liquid of the wastewater to the anoxic tank and discharge some of the supernatant liquid of the wastewater to the outside; and a main body(10) for integrally housing the anoxic tank, the aeration tank and the sedimentation tank, wherein volume ratio of the anoxic tank, the aeration tank and the sedimentation tank is 1:3:1, a ratio of width to height of a lower part of the main body is 1:2, and height of the main body is 7 to 10 m.
