PURPOSE: A strontium titanate fluorescent substance and its preparation method by the flame spray pyrolysis are provided, to obtain fluorescent substance which is not hollow, and has a nearly spherical shape, a uniform distribution, a perfect crystallinity without post-heating and a good light-emitting characteristic. CONSTITUTION: The strontium titanate fluorescent substance is represented by SrTiO3: PrxAlyGaz, wherein 0.0001=x=0.5, 0=y=0.5 and 0=z=0.5. The method comprises the steps of dissolving a precursor of Sr and Ti, and a precursor of the activator Pr, Al and Ga doping the body (Sr, Ti), into distilled water to prepare 0.02-3 M precursor solution; injecting the precursor solution into an aerosol generator to produce the liquid drops with a diameter of 1-100 micrometers; and drying, pyrolyzing, reacting and crystallizing the liquid drops in the expansion flame to obtain the fluorescent substance powder. Preferably the temperature of the expansion flame is 1,500-4,00 deg.C.
