PURPOSE: A method of diagnosing a damper clutch trouble is provided to fulfill OBD-II(On-Board Diagnosis II) regulations by offering accuracy in diagnosing trouble of a damper clutch and the normal working state of the damper clutch. CONSTITUTION: A method of diagnosing a damper clutch trouble includes steps of deciding whether the state information of a detected vehicle is a working area approach condition(S203); deciding initial duty from a map(S204) and then deciding whether a slip rate is under a reference value(S205); compensating the current duty with a predetermined gradient if the slip rate is over the reference value and deciding whether slip occurs after final desired duty control if the slip is under the reference value(S209); diagnosing as trouble of the damper clutch if slip occurs after the final desired duty control(S212); and setting normal working flag of the damper clutch if abnormal slip doesn't occur for predetermined time after the final desired duty control. Thus, reliability in diagnosing the damper clutch is secured.
