WIND TUNNEL TEST SIMULATING SYSTEM FOR WHEELS

PURPOSE: A wind tunnel test simulating system for wheels is provided to reduce the cost and time required for a wheel test by making the system easily installable in a wheel tunnel and testing only with wheels. CONSTITUTION: A wind tunnel test simulating system for wheels is composed of a chamber(60) for jetting air toward a wheel; a compressor(11) and a compressor controller(10) for supplying air; a flexible tube(20) surrounding the wheel and connected with the compressor for supplying air from the compressor to a tube(22); the tube integrated with the flexible tube with crossing the outer peripheral surface of the wheel and formed with plural nozzles(21) jetting air to the outer peripheral surface of the wheel; a speed sensor(40) mounted on the wheel to detect the velocity of air around the wheel; and a computer(50) connected with the speed sensor to control the compressor controller according to the detected air velocity and to measure values from the wind tunnel test.
