PURPOSE: A method for improving the corrosion resistance of a positive electrode plate for a lead storage battery by using the grain technology and a lead alloy used in the method are provided, to improve the lifetime and to minimize the thickness of the electrode of a lead storage battery, thereby enhancing the energy density of a lead storage battery and reducing the manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of cold rolling a lead alloy positive electrode plate and heating it, and repeating the processes for 1-3 times. Preferably the cold rolling is performed to 20-40 % with a lead alloy having an initial rolling amount of 70-90 %; and the heating is performed at a temperature of 250-290 deg.C for 10-30 min. Preferably the lead alloy has a CSL (coincidence site lattice) grain fraction of maximum 91 %.
