PURPOSE: An ambulatory electrocardiographic apparatus is provided to allow an ambulance to quickly approach the patient by automatically transmitting patient condition data to a hospital, transmitting a medical prescription of a doctor to the patient, and automatically tracking position of the patient upon occurrence of abnormality in the heart patient. CONSTITUTION: An ambulatory electrocardiographic apparatus comprises a main power supply unit; an electrocardiogram data acquisition unit(206) for acquiring electrocardiogram data of a patient; a memory for storing the electrocardiogram signal output from the electrocardiogram data acquisition unit; a micro processor(202) for processing the electrocardiogram signal stored in the memory, detecting abnormality from the electrocardiogram signal in accordance with the result of signal processing, and outputting the relevant electrocardiogram signal upon detection of abnormality; a ROM(201) connected to the micro processor, and which stores programs for basic operation; a mobile communication unit(208) for performing a bi-directional wireless communication between the micro processor and a remote hospital, transmitting the electrocardiogram signal indicating the occurrence of abnormality, output from the micro processor to the remote hospital, receiving warning data and doctor's prescription transmitted from the hospital, and providing the received data and prescription to the micro processor; an audio board(210) connected to the micro processor, and which outputs the warning data and doctor's prescription in voice; and an automatic patient position tracking unit(220) connected to the micro processor, and which tracks position of the patient upon occurrence of abnormality of the heart patient.
