PURPOSE: A method for controlling top gas pressure of a blast furnace in a top gas recovery plant is provided which stabilizes the top gas pressure by constantly maintaining a shear pressure set value and changing a differential pressure. CONSTITUTION: The method for controlling top gas pressure of a blast furnace in a top gas recovery plant comprises the processes of setting a shear pressure to be maintained by being closely connected with a differential pressure signal generator(22) at a shear pressure controller(C2) when an initial top gas pressure is set at a top gas pressure setter(10); controlling a differential pressure which is a difference between a variation width of a top gas pressure according to the change and a set shear pressure so that the differential pressure is maintained to the set shear pressure value by opening or closing a bypass control valve and a turbine control valve after the shear pressure controller(C2) detects a change of the shear pressure by communicating with a shear pressure signal generator; and directly opening a bypass valve by controlling an interlock transmitter(40) through a monitoring shear pressure transmitter(32) when a shear pressure is rapidly increased during the controlling process.
