PURPOSE: To provide a method for controlling top gas pressure of blast furnace, wherein the method is capable of preventing process instability and facility damage due to pressure change by controlling a top gas pressure control means, thereby promptly coping with abrupt pressure change inside the blast furnace. CONSTITUTION: The method for controlling top gas pressure of blast furnace comprises a step of outputting a compensation factor after measuring temperature of top gas of the blast furnace and comparing the measured temperature values of the blast furnace top gas with a standard set temperature value of top gas; a step of outputting comparison values by measuring pressure of top gas of the blast furnace and comparing the measured pressure values of the blast furnace top gas with a standard set pressure value of top gas; a step of outputting valve output values for controlling valves by PID(proportional-integral-differential) operating the temperature comparison values and pressure comparison values; and a step of controlling top gas pressure by using top gas pressure control signals after converting the valve output values into signals.
