PURPOSE: A method for supplying power of an RF-module is provided to control a power supply by using LD(Lock Detection) signals outputted to an LDT(Lock Detection Terminal) of a PLL and a switch in a receiving standby state of a cellular phone, thereby increasing usage time of a cellular phone battery. CONSTITUTION: A switched is turned off, while a timer is turned on in order to measure a setup time. A system judges that a set time elapses. The system turns on the switch while turning on the timer. The system applies power to a PLL and a VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator). A channel is converted by operations of the PLL and the VCO. The system decides whether the channel is fixed, and applies power to a receiver, an FM detector, and a transmitter by using LD signals. The system decides whether an RSSI generated from the FM detector exceeds a reference strength. The system fixes the switch to continuously operate. A call is made.
