PURPOSE: cAMP-specific peptides using phage display peptide library are provided. The cAMP-specific peptide can be useful for treatment of diseases associated with cAMP-mediated signal transfer and for quantification of cAMP. CONSTITUTION: The cAMP-specific peptides are provided, wherein the cAMP-specific peptides are peptide motive molecules consisting of 7 amino acids, having the amino acid sequences selected from the group consisting of from SEQ ID NO: 1 to SEQ ID NO: 28 or from SEQ ID NO: 81 to SEQ ID NO: 116, or peptide motive molecules consisting of 10 amino acids, having the amino acid sequences selected from the group consisting of from SEQ ID NO: 29 to SEQ ID NO: 80. The cDNAs encoding cAMP-specific proteins are selected from human cDNA libraries and have the nucleotide sequences selected from the group consisting of from SEQ ID NO: 117 to SEQ ID NO: 120. The proteins are encoded by the cDNAs selected from human cDNA libraries and have the amino acid sequences selected from the group consisting of from SEQ ID NO: 121 to SEQ ID NO: 128.
