PURPOSE: A flux composition having low melting point for controlling slag foaming and having dephosphorizing ability in BOF refining is provided to substantially improve workability by controlling slag foaming and guide stable BOF refining operation by superior dephosphorization ability of the flux itself. CONSTITUTION: The flux composition having low melting point for controlling slag foaming and having dephosphorizing ability in BOF refining is characterized in that pellet having a melting point of 1100 to 1300 deg.C is manufactured by mixing limestone having a grain size of 0.1 to 1.0 mm for controlling slag foaming with iron oxide having a grain size of 0.1 to 1.0 mm for providing dephosphorization ability and low melting point, wherein the pellet comprises 5 to 60 wt.% of limestone and 40 to 95 wt.% of iron oxide in such a way that the pellet comprises 3 to 35 wt.% of CaO concentration and 65 to 97 wt.% of FeO concentration. The low melting point flux composition is characterized in that briquette having a melting point of 1100 to 1300 deg.C is manufactured by mixing limestone having a grain size of 0.1 to 1.0 mm with iron oxide having a grain size of 0.1 to 1.0 mm for providing dephosphorization ability and low melting point, wherein the briquette comprises 5 to 60 wt.% of limestone and 40 to 95 wt.% of iron oxide in such a way that the briquette comprises 3 to 35 wt.% of CaO concentration and 65 to 97 wt.% of FeO concentration.
