THE COMPOSITION OF REFRIGERANT MIXTURES FOR ALTERNATING REFRIGERANT R-502

PURPOSE: A combined refrigerant composition with environmentally friendship property is provided to replace known R-502 refrigerant and to directly apply it in common refrigeration applications only by controlling amount of the refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: The combined refrigerant composition comprises 50-80wt.% of propylene(CH3-CH=CH2) as hydrocarbon refrigerant gas and 20-50wt.% of pentafluoroethane(C2HF5) as hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant gas. Alternatively, the refrigerant composition may comprise 69-70wt.% of the propylene, 28-30wt.% of the pentafluoroethane and further 1-2wt.% of any additive selected from a group consisting of carbon dioxide, trifluoroiodomethane(CF3I) and a mixture thereof in order to supplement flammability, smooth flow of refrigerant oil and freezing capacity of the refrigerant.
