PURPOSE: A device and a solution for playing a digital moving image in a streaming solution are provided to play a moving image file having an avi(audio/video interleave) file format in the streaming solution. CONSTITUTION: A reception control module(202) receives/stores at least a part of the avi file transmitted from the network. A file information extracting module(204) repeatedly confirms a configuration state of the received avi file for each predetermined time and extracts the partial configuration information of the recently received avi file until the avi file is completely received. A temporary index constructing module(206) repeatedly constructs a temporary index part based on the information extracted by the file information extracting module for each predetermined time until the avi file is completely received.
