WHITENING COMPOSITION CONTAINING RHODIOLA SACHALINENSIS A. BOR EXTRACTION

PURPOSE: A whitening composition containing a Rhodiola rosea extract which has excellent whitening action and safety to a human body as a main component is provided which has a toxicity inhibiting action on hydrogen peroxide-inducing cells, an effect of inhibiting human tyrosinase activity and a melamine production-inhibiting action. CONSTITUTION: The whitening composition contains 0.001 to 10% by weight of a Rhodiola rosea extract, based on the total weight of the composition. The Rhodiola rosea extract is extracted from one or more solvents selected from the group consisting of ethanol, petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate and butanol. The composition is formulated into an emollient lotion, skin lotion, nourishing cream, massage cream, essence, pack, adhesive skin patch or gel.
