PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition for increasing skin elasticity and inhibiting skin aging is provided which contains Polygala tenuifolia Willd, Platycodon grandiflorum (Jacq) A. DC. and Centella asiatica and a preparation process thereof is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The cosmetic composition for increasing skin elasticity and inhibiting skin aging contains extracts of Polygala tenuifolia Willd, Platycodon grandiflorum (Jacq) A. DC. and Centella asiatica, wherein the extract of Polygala tenuifolia Willd, Platycodon grandiflorum (Jacq) A. DC. and Centella asiatica is prepared by dipping dried Polygala tenuifolia Willd, Platycodon grandiflorum (Jacq) A. DC. and Centella asiatica in a solvent at 10 to 37deg. C for 1 to 15 days or heating them in a solvent at 50 to 80deg. C for 3 to 10 hours; the mixed ratio of dried Polygala tenuifolia Willd, Platycodon grandiflorum (Jacq) A. DC. and Centella asiatica is 25 to 35: 30 to 45: 25 to 55; and the solvent is one or more solvent selected from water, ethanol, methanol, butanol, ethylacetate, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerin, hydrous ethanol, hydrous methanol, hydrous butanol, hydrous butyleneglycol, hydrous propyleneglycol and hydrous glycerin.
