PURPOSE: To provide a storage container that is capable of keeping a concentration of carbon dioxide dissolved in remaining drinking water or solution constant by preventing the carbon dioxide gas or dissolved gas from being discharged to the air, and a method for keeping the solution having dissolved gas. CONSTITUTION: The storage container comprises an outer container (14) having a first inlet that is in communication with outside air and a first receiving space (22) that is connected to the first inlet, an inner container (18) having a second inlet that is in communication with the outside air and a second receiving space (24) that is connected to the second inlet, is located in the first receiving space and has a variable size, a first closing member (10) that closes the first inlet, and a second closing member (12) that closes the second inlet.
