PURPOSE: A body composition analyzing device and a driving method thereof are provided to obtain an accurate impedance index by accurately measuring body height of an object person for measurement through the use of a gaze attraction member which is automatically controlled in accordance with the body height of the object person. CONSTITUTION: A body composition analyzing device comprises a body impedance measuring unit, a body weight scale, a height measuring unit(105), and a central processing unit for processing data of the impedance measuring unit, body weight scale, and the height measuring unit. The height measuring unit includes a height sensor; a gaze attraction member(102) for attracting gaze of an object person for measurement; and an elevator(48) for moving the gaze attraction member in a vertical direction in accordance with the signal output from the height sensor.
