METHOD FOR CULTIVATING ANTICANCER FUNCTIONAL-ENRICHED YOUNG RADISH

PURPOSE: A method of cultivating a young, pony-tail radish(yeolmu, Korean native name) having increased anticancer activity on a loess layer mixed with sulfur is provided. Therefore, the radish has a number of anticancer substance and is not inferior to that cultivated in general soil. CONSTITUTION: A young radish is cultivated in a loess layer containing an upper layer with a thickness of 1.5 to 2.5cm and a lower layer with a thickness of 5 to 7cm. The upper loess layer comprises: (i) a standard amount of fertilizer and (ii) 1.3 to 1.7kg of manure per 1m¬3 of loess and the lower loess layer comprises: (i)450 to 1,850g of sulfur per 1m¬3 of loess, (ii) a standard amount of fertilizer and (iii) 1.3 to 1.7kg of manure per 1m¬3 of loess.
