PURPOSE: A method for controlling a transmit power in a base station is provided to block a transmit power of a base station when a call processing service is disabled, and to normally transmit the transmit power when the call processing service is enabled, thereby improving entire call service quality without interfering with other normal system. CONSTITUTION: A base station collects defect information from devices for supplying factors that influence a call processing service, combines the collected defect information, and updates a range of a transceiver which has to block a transmit power. An updated message is transmitted to a TIP(Transceiver Interface Processor) connected to plural transceiver groups comprised in the base station, to block the transmit power in the transceiver corresponding to the updated range. When defect solutions are collected from a predetermined device, a message is transmitted to the TIP in order to normally transmit the blocked transmit power of the transceiver.
