FIELD: transport engineering; track-laying road vehicles.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steering mechanisms of high-speed track-laying vehicles. Proposed steering mechanism includes hydrostatic transmission consisting of adjustable pump, non-adjustable motor and two hydraulic lines connecting pump and motor, two summing planetary mechanisms whose carrier are connected with vehicle driving wheels and are furnished with brakes. Epicyclic gear wheels are connected through two disconnectable friction clutches with output shaft of gearbox. Moreover, carriers and epicyclic wheels of summing planetary mechanisms are interconnected in pairs, sun gears are connected by additional drive with motor of hydrostatic transmission so that with motor rotating, sun gears rotate at angular velocities equal in value and direction. Additional drive is furnished with two friction clutches for in-turn or simultaneous disengagement of sun gears of summing planetary mechanisms from motor of hydrostatic transmission. Sun gears are furnished with two separate controllable brakes.;EFFECT: improved steerability of vehicle at straight-ahead running and cornering, reduced mass and overall dimensions of steering mechanism, improved reliability and increased service life of mechanism.;1 dwg
