The housing has a central part with tubular jacket wall (2), a foot and cup-shaped end caps. End caps and central part consist of corrosion-proof material. The upper part (4) of the jacket has a wall thickness (5), which is thinner than that (6) in a lower part (7) and increases continuously downwards. The corrosion-proof material is e.g. stainless steel or plastic, especially duroplastics. The jacket wall has a fastener rib (12) at each axial end, and a foot (8) is fastened detachable to it.
