A method for configuring networked control units (1, 3, 4) in a transport unit (6), where the transport unit can be produced in a number of different equipment versions. Configuration data for a particular version are stored in the equipment control unit (1). The data are then used to configure the various control units for a designated equipment version using characterizing data for the control units. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for method implementation.
