The method is for alignment of a guide component (6) and a second component (7), and uses an assembly part (1) with alignment part. The components each have an aperture (13,14) for alignment within a tolerance. The guide component is positioned on the assembly part along the alignment part, a spacer element (15) is fitted into the facing apertures, so that it fixes the position of the second component relative to the first one. Both components are then fixed on the assembly part within a fastening area (3) by nut (5) and screw (22). The method is esp. positioning and fastening of a headlamp (11) and a bumper (12) on a motor vehicle body part (2).
