Tensioning device has a gripping arm (8) which can be aligned in a resting position so that it can move through a hole (1) of a component (2) and which can be aligned in a tensioning position so that it moves through the hole to grip the component through the hole. The component presses against the bearing surface (16) of the base body (4) from its rear side (18) and thus fixes the component. An Independent claim is also included for gripping and fixing components using the above tensioning device. Preferred Features: The gripping arm is aligned in such a way that it moves through the hole of the component by moving in the longitudinal direction of the base body. The gripping arm has a pivoting axle (22).
