Measurement of plant transpiration, measures flow rate through plant xylem and variation in plant water content

flow rate in the plant xylem, and variation of plant water content are measured simultaneously on the same plants. The current transpiration rate is calculated from the sum of flow rate and rate of variation of water content. An Independent claim is included for corresponding apparatus.
