The method serves to the objective and effective quality assurance of erythrocyte concentrates, the blood bag to be opened without. It is an optical method, comprising the extracellular hemoglobin content in the blood bag according to a defined rest time with decrease of the erythrocytes is determined, and derives therefrom statements about further usability.
