A headlight for a motor vehicle comprises a light source (20) extending in a long axis and a reflector (22) radiating in the z-axis in a co-ordinate system whose origin is at the vertex of the reflector. The long axis has a rotation angle(phi) about the z-axis and an angle (theta), which is not 90 degrees about the vertical to the plane.
