The safety device has an auxiliary safety catch (A) to limit the usability of a gun which uses a positioning system locally or spatially. This catch may permit the gun to be used only when it is deactivated by the receipt of a positioning signal describing a permissible position. It mat have electromechanical locks (A4) acting on the trigger (3), hammer or locking lever.
