The closure device is for the air inlet channels (10) in a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine and is provided with a slider valve comprising closure components (1), which have a through hole running parallel to the axis of the air inlet channels. The closure components are joined to each other by pins (2) which do not run through the air inlet channels and form a common rotary axis. The closure components have an asymmetrical shape in comparison to the rotary axis, so that they do not block the parts of the air inlet channels which are not required to be closed, and this in each position of the slider valve.
