Method for measuring the phase angle between two high frequency sinusoidal or digital signals in which the signals are digitized and used to generate a digital beat signal, by use of a further VHF, UHF or super high frequency (SHF), signal as a mixing signal. The phase angle between the two signals can then be used as a measurement value.
