A mobile telephone (MS) uses a first transmitter/receiver unit to set up a packet-switched connection and is allocated to a first cell (FC) and a first waiting time range (HTR). If the MS moves into a second cell (SC) and a second HTR, an HTR change-over identification key is allocated to the connection. A hand-over procedure for a packet-switched connection is carried out from the FC to the SC. An Independent claim is also included for a radio communications system for running the method of the present invention.
