Quality control method for application to auto body assembly in which the design values of test markers for assemblies are determined, the actual values are determined and a comparison of the values is undertaken. The actual values are measured between or in parallel to the two or more production steps of a production process and when the difference between set and measured values a warning is output immediately. An Independent claim is made for a measurement system for use in the quality control of auto body assemblies.
