To determine physiological parameters in blood, and blood products, the sample flow (1e) is illuminated in a flow cell (1f) with a light to give local measurements of the emitted scattered light. The required parameters are displayed to be processed by multivariate regression or a neuron network. The light is generated by lamps (1a) with optional addition light sources (1c,1h,1j). The scattered light is registered by detector cells (1b) with optional additional cells (1g).
