The heating system has a warm water tank (2) for preparing heated drinking water for a warm water network (4) in the building, and a hot water tank (3) for preparing heated hot water for a heating network (5) in the building. The warm water tank has a low-temperature reservoir (13) and a high temperature reservoir (14) communicating therewith. The low temperature reservoir is mounted inside the hot water tank whilst the high temperature reservoir is located outside of the latter. The high temperature reservoir can be mounted above the low temperature reservoir and both in a common container (20).
