The adjusting device which is operated by a window lifter includes a window pane holder (8) mounted on a follower (6) of the window lifter and moved by a longitudinally displaceable adjusting means (11) such as a screw. An operating section for the adjusting means is formed as a part of a revolving gearing. The operating section can have a toothed section (20) such as a cone wheel. Independent claim describes tool (16) formed by screw driver having revolving gearing part corresponding to the part of the gearing of the adjusting means. The tool is designed to pass through the door shaft (17).
