The device consists of a conducting track structure (4) and a resistive layer (5) in contact with it whose resistance varies with the applied force. The conducting track structure consists of two or more concentric conducting track sectors about a central point and a pressure transfer layer (2) of elastically deformable material with a rigid pressure distribution body (3) centrally above the center point at a distance from the resistive layer. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a pressure measurement plate with an inventive sensor.
