The device has at least one electrically isolated sensor (8) with magnetic field sensitive properties for detecting the magnetic field generated by the current and an arrangement for tapping and further processing of a magnetic field-dependent sensor signal. It has a multilayer structure (2) in LTCC technology, whereby the sensor is arranged in an opening in an insulating ceramic layer with the conducting track (L1,L2) arranged above or below at a distance guaranteeing the required breakdown resistance depending on the material.
