A trim strip for covering the edges of plasterboard lining (4) fitted into door and window apertures during renovation, or during initial building, has a flat profile with a grip flange on the underside to grip into a slot in the edge of the plasterboard. The trim strip is made of metal or plastic and the main section lies flat against the wall (1) where it is secured via a number of fitting holes (19) along the edge of the strip. The grip flange is provided with ratchet profiles for a secure grip into the slot. Additional grip is provided by grip flanges which grip each side of the edge of the plasterboard.
