From an input signal (ES) with mark-space ratio P1, an edge signal (FS, FS'') is produced. The edge pulse FP or FP' and FP'' is synchronous with the edges of the input signal (ES). After passing through the opto-coupler (O1) it is converted into an output signal (AS) with the same mark-space ratio as the input signal (ES). An Independent claim is included for corresponding equipment.
