A fixed frame at the rear end of the vehicle has longitudinal members (10) on the outside connected together by front (11) and rear (13) transverse members. Longitudinal rails between the front and rear transverse members hold a sliding frame (2) which holds a rear bumper (14,15) and fittings to hold e.g. two bicycles.
