An assembly facilitates the demolition of high-rise buildings. The assembly consists of a platform (2) that straddles a gap in the building. Pillars (1) hang from the platform, and have horizontal anchorage holes (5) for horizontal stabilizing jacks (4). The platform supports an anchorage plate (6) on which demolition machinery is mounted. Also claimed is a commensurate demolition process.
