Method for deformation compensation of positioning elements caused during their operation by a drive, especially for application of valve flaps in a motor vehicle air-conditioning system. According to the method end positions (Av) of a drive shaft are detected, a deformation compensation is applied, a backwards adjustment mechanism is applied to the drive shaft and energy supply to the drive shaft is interrupted after completion of the previous two steps. The invention also relates to a corresponding device.
