The lifting truck has a drive part (10) with housing and supporting height adjustable parallel wheel arms. Seen from the drive part a skirt (76) of flexible plastics is arranged behind the load roller (40) across the axis of the wheel arm with its lower edge extending irrespective of the height of the wheel arms above the ground close up to the ground or in contact therewith. The skirt is fitted in a holder which is axially secured relative to the load roller. The holder has screw connections which extend through vertical oblong holes in the skirt.
