Temperature modelling method for catalyzer inserted in automobile engine exhaust gas line using correction of base temperature value by correction values determined from catalyzer exothermic reaction

The temperature modelling method uses a base value for the temperature of the catalyzer (34) adjusted via a pair of correction values determined from the exothermic reactions in the catalyzer, one correction value dependent on the air/fuel ratio in the engine and the second correction value dependent on an auxiliary fuel mass which is dosed for regeneration of the catalyzer. An Independent claim for a calculation device for determining the temperature of an exhaust gas catalyzer is also included.
