The earthing connection recognition method uses continuous sampling and storage of the zero voltage and zero current at a load take-off point, with indication of an earthing connection when the zero voltage is above a limit value, with calculation of the charge by integration of the current values between the zero transition of the zero voltage and the limit value point and classification of the charge curve for identifying a load take-off point with an earthing connection and indication of the earthing direction.
