A process for dewatering a material carried by an exhaust gas (2), comprises drawing the gas over a wetted or non-wetted granulate filter and over a droplet separator (15), using a blower (17). No alkaline water enters the granulate filter. After the gas passes through the filter, the pretreated gas moves to a neutral clean air zone (6) with a rape oil circuit (5,7,8).
