The resistance value determination method has the electrical component connected in series with a reference resistance (Rr) in one arm (38) of a measuring bridge (36) having 3 known resistances (R1,R2,R3) connected in series in its other arm (40), a measuring current fed through both arms of the measuring bridge and the ratio between the voltage differences between the intermediate node (K1) of the first bridge arm and each of the intermediate nodes (K2,K3) of the second bridge arm used for calculation of the component resistance. Also included are Independent claims for the following: (a) a device for determining the resistance value of an electrical component; (b) an electrical circuit containing a device for determining the resistance value of an electrical component.
