A plastic film 1 made of hard polyvinyl chloride serves as a carrier film for a wrap-around label. The wrap-around label can be stuck onto a circumferential surface of the cylinder body and can be shrink-wrapped. On the plastic film 1, a cover 2 is laminated. The plastic film 1 is stretched in the machine direction of a calender and has a thermal shrinkage of 40 to 60% compared to the unstretched plastic film in the longitudinal direction. Transversely to the machine direction of the calender, the thermal shrinkage of the plastic film is 0 to 10%.
